Lots of fabric sewn into this painting,
so its becoming more like a quilt i guess,
homemade oil paints ,
beeswax,
crayons for colours
stretched on wood we collected from the garbage.
so easy to make art with so little.
enjoy

Stockmar beeswax crayons from Germany,
but sometimes i use crayola, but yeah, they are not as good.

Hi stefan! Im really not trying to copy your paintings or anything...but i got REALLLY inspired by your technique and i was just wondering how you use the beeswax and get that waxy/etched feel?? Im thinking about using beeswax and crayons for my concentration in ap art 0.O and im kinda scared....

hey, you get the etching kind of feel, from layering, and then pulling off layers with a sharp knife !
good luck
light underneath dark on top,
on paper , i prime it with a thin layer of clear beeswax before coloured ones or oil paint.
